Create an interactive display which allows customers to explore the features of Matsucom's new wrist-top PC. The display should be compact, hold several brochures, and support a backer card while occupying a space no greater than one square foot. The display should work in a countertop environment and accommodate an optional AC adapter. The construction of the display should withstand the harsh interactive retail environment. Branding should be prominently placed on the display unit to discourage the use by competing products.
As a new entry into the highly competitive consumer electronics market, Matsucom had a very tight budget with relatively low initial production volumes. We worked on providing an affordable solution that enhanced brand image. The display helped Matsucom gain entry into some key accounts, including Comp USA, Radio Shack, and Watch Station. The POP was instrumental in placing this product into new accounts and helped establish the Matsucom name. The backer card and "take-away" brochure educates the consumer on the features and benefits of the new Wrist-top PC.
