CHALLENGE
Timbuk2 is a fast-growing brand of sturdy, colorful messenger bags and accessories. They are expanding their retail base to include mainstream retailers and needed a display system to help elevate and unify their brand presence.
Their initial needs were individual display elements to display their messenger bags. They requested a single bag "glorifier" to highlight one bag. They also asked for a "hitch" or rack from which multiple bags could be hung. Both pieces needed to be sturdy and strongly branded. They also needed to retain some of the "street" feel that the brand was built on. Both these pieces needed to function on slat wall or slat grid.
Another of their initial needs was a way to display and dispense "Bag in a Box". This promotional idea included a Gift Card enclosed in a cardboard box.
The final unifying piece of the system was a tower that could display and dispense product, incorporating all of the other pieces of the system. The tower needed a small footprint, had to be sturdy, needed strong branding, and needed to be easily configured alone or repeated in multiples.
