CHALLENGE
Salomon is one of the most respected brands in the outdoor and winter sports markets. When they introduced a new line of ski and snowboard helmets, they needed a display system that would capitalize on the Salomon brand and present the new products at retail.
One of the basic building blocks of the new system was a wire Helmet Bracket. The simple wire helmet holder holds the helmet securely, while still allowing the customer to easily remove and replace it. The Salomon logo is prominently silk screened on a steel faceplate. An optional plastic clip can be attached to the bottom wire to hold feature benefit or pricing information.
The faceplate and back wire section are straight to allow the Bracket to be used with either a helmet alone, or with a pair of goggles.

Salomon’s retail base welcomed the new displays, as they serve to differentiate the brand and provide a flexible means to present these premium products. The clean lines and black & white color scheme set off the strong colors of the helmets. They also offer flexibility for a variety of applications.

Goggles and helmets are key accessories – sold separately or together. As part of the new system, we designed a black powder coated wire and steel bracket. The bracket is arced to accentuate the form of the goggle and to extend the goggles out from the wall. Notches on the sides keep the straps neatly aligned. The Salomon logo is silkscreened on the upper left corner of the face.
The Bracket mounts to slat wall, slat grid or to Salomon’s new Helmet Cart and Tower.

Concept Designs went a step further, presenting a Tower that would dramatically present the entire line of helmets out of their boxes. Salomon’s corporate standards dictated a black and white visual language, while interchangeable action graphics would keep the displays updated from season to season.
